Donation Quilt and Sandy Quilt Block Drive

Have you heard about the Sandy Quilt Block Drive over at the Quilt Gallery?  As of today they have enough blocks to make 41 quilts!  That's commitments to make more than 1722 blocks.  They need team leaders and volunteers to assemble more blocks and finished tops.  Follow this link to find out more.

I spent much of my weekend at the Homestead Cabin Retreat basting and machine quilting some of my finished quilt tops.  This quilt is going to an auction that is supporting a a 17 year old boy with leukemia.  Sorry the picture is a bit out of focus. I left the quilt behind at the retreat.  My friend Patsy volunteered to finish the binding and will make sure it gets to the auction at the end of the month. Thanks Patsy, you're an angel!

I try to donate at least one or two quilts per year. Do you have a special cause you like to support with your talents?

Beautiful fabrics and layout. I made some blocks for auction quilts and have been working on some for the african orphanages. This year I want to perfect my sewing skills and free motion so i can do more charity quilts.
