Here is the quilt I started for the Project Quilting Square in a Square challenge. Don't you just love these fabrics? They are so fun and funky.
This quilt started out as a lap quilt but I decided I wanted to make it large enough to fit a twin or double bed. I didn't make the deadline for the challenge but I'm okay with that. As of this morning I have the majority of the blocks sewn together. I plan to have this top finished before next weekend. My Richland Center Quilt Guild has their annual overnight on Friday and Saturday and I will have plenty of space to pin baste the quilt sandwich.
Last weekend I finally got back to my fabric dyes. Oh how I have missed adding color to cloth!!!
Wishing you a creative weekend!
Chris

SO striking!
I too need a design wall like that I realise to SEE things properly lol
I love my design wall. I will hang my quilt blocks up and rearrange until I'm happy with the layout. It makes such a huge difference when you can stand back and see how all the colors work together.
Yes, I do love your fabrics. Perfect for this quilt pattern.
I, too, would love a design wall. How have you made yours? Love your colours in this quilt!
Imade a design wall by hanging up some white fleece fabric, very simple but it works. Love your quilt, is it paper pieced?
This is so cool. I love the fabric you are using.
Love those colours! I love my design wall(mine is made from a couple of old doors on castors)
Thanks everyone! Chloe, my design wall is a large piece of flannel pinned to the wall board in my workspace. My workspace used to by our guest room so I had a design wall I could take down when company visited. I had nails in the wall up near the top of the wall. I used to hang an old flannel backed tablecloth off the nails using binder clips from the office supply store.
Love this!
